IOTECHA TAKES ANOTHER STEP TO SIMPLIFY AND ACCELERATE DEVELOPMENT OF CLOUD-CONNECTED AND CCS-BASED EV CHARGERS

Embedded agent pre-integrated with the IoTecha Cloud enables out-of-the-box provisioning, monitoring, and predictive maintenance of EV Chargers.

IoTecha Corp., a provider of Industrial IoT and Electric Vehicle smart charging solutions, announces that it has reached another important milestone — the commercial availability of an end-to-end solution comprised of its Combined Charging System on Module (CCSoM) and the Cloud-Based IoTecha Intelligent Power Platform (I2P2). In addition to the reduction of development costs and time, this solution is designed to further reduce the total cost of ownership associated with EV Chargers and improve customer satisfaction.

Intelligent and Connected Charging based on the Combined Charging System (CCS) standard is the key to providing seamless integration of millions of EVs with the power grid and enabling ease of use for consumers. IoTecha has created a portfolio of products that include an ISO/IEC 15118 and HomePlugTM GreenPHY protocol analysis tool, a highly integrated CCSoM solution, and the Cloud-based I2P2. The integration of CCSoM and I2P2 creates a platform that enables charger operators and manufacturers to monitor and manage their EV Chargers regardless of whether they are connected to a service provider network or not.

An embedded agent runs in the CCSoM based on the STMicroelectronics ST2100, a highly integrated HomePlugTM PLC SoC developed within ST by members of the IoTecha team. This agent is the new addition to CCSoM’s portfolio of building blocks that also includes ISO/IEC 15118 and OCPP 1.6J. It enables “out-of-the-box” secure connectivity with I2P2, a key step towards enabling remote provisioning of the charger, remote configuration of the link between the charger and an OCPP Central Server, monitoring, and predictive maintenance of CCSoM based EV Chargers.

“We launched IoTecha with the goal of making implementation of cloud-connected CCS Chargers quick and simple,” stated IoTecha CEO Oleg Logvinov. “The launch of our end-to-end solution enabling remote configuration, management, and monitoring of CCS based chargers that complements services provided by OCPP based Central Servers moves us a lot closer to achieving this goal.”

IoTecha products and services will be on display at EVS30 in Stuttgart, Germany from October 9-11, 2017 in the CharIN e.V. joint booth (Hall 1, Booth F33).
